Top event planners whisked away to secret location in Geelong and The Bellarine for bi-annual Mystery Dinner

22 April 2024

More than 50 of Melbourne’s high profile event managers, PCOs, EAs and PAs were treated to an evening of discovery and culinary delights as the highly anticipated Meet Geelong Mystery Dinner returned to Geelong and The Bellarine on Thursday 18 April.

The signature event provides some of the region’s leading industry operators the chance to connect with and showcase their product to potential clients in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

To build intrigue and excitement in the lead up to the event, guests received a clue in the form of a nautical-themed boarding pass, which was used for their admission to the Mystery Dinner.

Guests embarked on a one-hour ferry journey with Port Phillip Ferries from Melbourne’s Docklands, where they were entertained on board with live music and enjoyed wine and cheese platters. It wasn’t until the group disembarked in Portarlington that they discovered where they were going.

Upon arriving at Portarlington, guests were transferred to Scotchmans Hill winery for a lavish two-course dinner, which was complemented by award winning wines and live entertainment with a classical harp and violin duo.

Business Events Geelong’s Convention Bureau Manager, Tamie Ryan said, “We were delighted to host another successful Mystery Dinner in our region. It was great to see delegates taking the opportunity to connect with our incredible members who were in attendance on the night.

The Mystery Dinner provides a taster of the exceptional experiences available in Geelong and The Bellarine, while demonstrating our city’s easy accessibility from Melbourne - it’s what truly sets us apart as a leading destination for business events.”
